English Ordinal

Ord

The simplest and most widely used modern cipher. Assigns sequential values A=1 through Z=26 based on alphabetical position. While ancient Hebrew and Greek gematria used their own alphabets, English Ordinal emerged as researchers began applying gematria principles to the Latin alphabet in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Full Reduction

Red

Derived from Pythagorean numerology, which holds that all numbers reduce to the nine primary digits. Reverse Reduction

Francis Bacon

Bacon

Named for Sir Francis Bacon (1561–1626) — philosopher, statesman, and alleged Rosicrucian. Bacon developed the Baconian cipher (a bilateral cipher using A/B sequences) and is theorized by some researchers to have encoded hidden messages in Shakespeare's works. Sept

Based on the sacred number 7 — cycling through values 1–7 repeatedly. Seven is universally sacred: 7 days of creation, 7 classical planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn), 7 chakras, 7 notes of the musical scale. Primes Cipher

Prime

Assigns each letter the corresponding prime number — A=2, B=3, C=5, D=7, and so on through Z=101. Prime numbers have fascinated mathematicians and mystics alike since antiquity.
